Nebo BESS
Nebo Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is a proposed 900 MW, 4-hour battery located on private land adjacent to Powerlink’s 275kV Nebo substation, 7km north of Nebo township.
ACE Power is currently preparing a Development Approval application to be submitted to Isaac Regional Council in Q4 2024. In addition, we are currently undertaking community consultation, with a community event scheduled for 8th & 9th October. Construction is expected to commence in 2026.
The project is being developed as part of ACE Power’s commitment to help Australia transition to a clean energy future.

Location
The proposed Nebo BESS site will be located on private land on Suttor Developmental Road, approximately 7km north of the township of Nebo.
Community Information
ACE Power has completed preliminary assessments of the site, and has incorporated the findings from these assessments into the proposed layout.
Community consultation activities are underway, with the first round of community information sessions scheduled for early October 2024. The project team welcomes feedback from the community regarding the proposed project.
