Raglan Battery
Raglan Battery is a proposed 500 MW 4-hour Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to be located on private land outside Gladstone in regional Queensland. The battery will be connected into Powerlink’s 275 kV substation.
The Application for Development Approval has been submitted and is currently being assessed by Gladstone Regional Council. In March 2025, DCCEEW determined that the project is not a controlled action under the EPBC Act.
The project is being developed as part of ACE Power’s commitment to help Australia transition to a clean energy future.

Location
The project will be located adjacent to Powerlink’s 275 kV Raglan substation, approximately 80km inland from Gladstone in central Queensland.

Community Information
Development workstreams completed to date include site surveys such as flooding, bushfire, ecology and noise. The results of these surveys have been fed back into the project design, to ensure minimal impact on the surrounding environment.
ACE Power has commenced community consultation activities and the project team welcomes feedback from the local community regarding the proposed project.
