Yabulu BESS
Yabulu Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is a proposed 2-hour 200 MW battery located on private land adjacent to the Yabulu South Terminal Station, west of Townsville, Queensland. The Project received Development Approval from Townsville City Council in 2022, EPBC approval in early 2023 and grid connection approval (5.3.4A&B) from AEMO in late 2023. Construction is expected to commence late 2024.
The project is being developed as part of ACE Power’s commitment to help Australia transition to a clean energy future.
